Most of us suffer from problems in various areas of our life.
Sometimes we just want someone to listen to us. If this is what we need, we should seek friends, relatives, pastors, and professionals in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, and social work.
But sometimes talking about our problems is not enough. We want the problems to be gone, we want some kind of general solution.
This cannot be possible on the level of the problem itself, but can be achieved on the level of our responses to problems. It's simple: if we feel better, then we aren't so overwhelmed by our problems and we have the inner strength, intelligence, and creativity to help solve them easier.
There is a simple mental technique called transcending that anyone can practice twice a day to eliminate stress stored in the nervous system. When our stresses are eliminated, the result is refreshment. Instead of seeing the whole world through depression-colored glasses, we start really enjoying life, perhaps for the first time.
The most effective way to eliminate stored stresses is to transcend thought. That means following a thought back to its creation. All thoughts are created within a field of pure silence, intelligence, and creativity. Contact with that field is enjoyable and expands our awareness. Even a little contact removes great suffering.
